For Han Tianheng Art Museum, Relicase designed and crafted a various of high-specification and customized Museum display cases for better display effect.

For the Shanghai Natural History Museum, Relicase’s major challenge is the irregular museum showcases, such as irregular polygonal and circular arc display cases. They require extremely high machining accuracy on sheet metals, glass, aluminum profile frames among others. Furthermore, the design of the opening structure must be clever and well-thought through to secure the motion path of irregular glass.

The Shanghai Natural History Museum, a branch of the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, was our first project with a massive natural history museum. Compared to relics and heritage museums, natural history museums require display cases which are extremely huge or of different shapes with an extra-high load carrying capacity. This is because the dimensions of exhibits may differ from very small, in the case of butterfly specimens to ultra-big like megafauna specimens or skeletal fossils; or the weights of exhibits may differ from light as with feather or fur specimens to heavy as with large-scale geological specimens. Due to the presence of a great number of colour-rich specimen exhibits, restoring their original colours is necessary when introducing an illumination system. Besides, beautiful colours are needed to create an amazing display atmosphere and the colours and materials of case surfaces must be selected carefully before a final decision is made. For cases with a high probability of interaction with viewers, nterrelated structures must be calculated accurately on these display cases for purpose of installation of multimedia devices.

Palace of Longevity and Health – Palace Museum

For the palace of longevity and health – the palace museum, Relicase supplies all museum display cases, will meet client’s requirements.

Construction of the Palace of Longevity and Health took place from December 1735 (the thirteenth year of the Yongzheng reign) to October 1736 (the first year of the Qianlong reign). It was Qianlong Emperor who ordered this palace built for his mother, Empress Dowager Chongqing. Since then it became the palace exclusively reserved for empress dowagers.

Jingzhou museum free standing display cases projects

For Jingzhou Museum, Relicase supplies a various of free standing display cases, according to each exhibit’s character and its display position.

Built in 1985, the Jingzhou Museum is a comprehensive museum integrating the exhibition, education, research and protection of cultural relics. The museum is popular with visitors from China and abroad. Located in one of China’s historic city – Jingzhou, the museum is famous for its collection of distinct cultural and archeological relics.

Covering an area of​​ about 50,000 square meters (12.4 acres) with a floor area of​​ about 23,000 square meters (5.7 acres), the museum has a display hall and a collection hall with about 130,000 pieces of historical items. The museum was chosen to be among the top ten city museums, ranked a ‘4A’; museum by the government.
